Therapeutic yoga helps you to become increasingly flexible—not just of the physical body but in your nervous system. In her approach, Dr. Arielle helps you learn how to regulate the functioning of your vagus nerve with techniques such as altering the rhythm of your breath, practicing mindful body awareness, and exploring physical yoga postures to create greater choice about your level of arousal or activation.
Based on her books on Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery, this Mentorship Group is designed for yoga teachers who are interested in integrating Polyvagal Theory into their yoga classes with their students and therapists interested in including yoga as part of your work with clients. Within this mentorship group, participants will have the opportunity for discussion, practice questions, and practical application of Applied Polyvagal Theory in therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery.
Please note: this group is not for the lay person. If you are looking for an opportunity to practice yoga and vagus nerve toning for your own personal practice, please explore these other offerings:
Group sessions begin with the opportunity for each member to check in, followed by the formulation of a list of topics to be covered such as questions about applied polyvagal theory, vagal toning, therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery, clinical applications for client mental and physical health symptoms, and other related questions. Any remaining time in the 2-hour session is spent discussing topics relevant to the members according to the formulated list of topics.
This group is not yet open for registration, but we invite you to join the waitlist by filling out the form below. Please note that Dr. Schwartz’s waitlist is extensive. When registration opens, you will be notified; we are unable to provide estimates on the length of wait.
